Several deaths have been reported in the entertainment industry. Part of these deaths was reportedly caused by undisclosed illnesses while others were due to accidents.

However, only few of them died taking their own lives. Award winning South African actress Shoki Mokgapa died at the age of 34, after battling with clinical depression.

According to her management, on Thursday, September 27, they revealed that the 34-year-old actress took her own life.

Late Mokgapa’s management disclosed that: “After a long struggle with clinical depression she took her life on Tuesday, September 25, at the age of 34. She was a brave woman who had been seeking help but the disease proved to be stronger than she was. Her family and friends appreciate all the love extended to them from her peers and fans.

While the family members are yet to fix a date for her funeral, her memorial service is set to hold on Tuesday, October 2, at the Market Theatre.

The deceased was reportedly the first non-Afrikaans speaking actress to win a Silwerskermfees for the best actress. Late Mokgapa stole the heart of many after she featured in the film, Sink. This role earned her a Safta award in 2017 for Best Actress in a Feature Film.

PDP suffers defeat because there was no chance for manipulation again – Osun APC

Osun state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has told Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop crying foul over governorship rerun

– The party’s director of publicity, research and strategy in the state, Kunle Oyatomi, said the PDP was unable to manipulate the result this time around

– He said that the PDP had made elaborate arrangement to rig the election through the manipulation of the card readers

The Osun state chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying the opposition party attempted to win by fraud.

The Independent reports that while reacting to the unconfirmed results of rerun election, APC’s director of publicity, research and strategy in the state, Kunle Oyatomi, said the PDP was unable to manipulate the result this time around, so they are crying foul.

NAIJ.com gathered that he said APC had said that the PDP had made elaborate arrangement to rig the election through the manipulation of the card readers.

The statement read: “We have always known and have made ourselves clear before the election that the PDP had made elaborate arrangement to rig the election through the manipulation of the card readers and it was this process that made them got the votes, allocated to them in the first ballot.

“Nobody expected the PDP to even come second. Most people in Osun have the belief that it would be a straight fight between the APC and SDP. But as God would have it, Osun was saved from the vultures.

“We like Osun people to understand that the run off votes went the way it did because the PDP was unable to manipulate the card readers this time around and fortunately the police thwarted their plot of buying and trying to use the PVCs of suspecting voters.

“That was why some of their leaders were arrested. So the PDP should look for other excuses.

“They attempted to win by fraud, they failed in the first round and eventually lost the rerun election.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that the September 22 gubernatorial election in Osun state was declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a result of the slim margin between the votes polled between Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“I’ve seen Adam And Eve Before, I Know Them Personally” – Ghanaian Bishop, Daniel Obinim

2018

The founder and leader of the International Godsway Ministries, Bishop Daniel Obinim, has said that he has had a rare privilege of personally knowing ‘Adam and Eve’, who are believed to be the first human beings created by God.

According to him, he got to know Adam and Eve after he was introduced to them by God in the spiritual realms.

Speaking in an interview on a local TV station, the controversial preacher also said he was introduced to Moses and Abraham by Jesus.

“The Adam and Eve that God created who have died a long time ago, I saw them. I know Adam and Eve. Jesus Christ took me to the spiritual realms to show me Adam, Eve, Abraham and even Moses. I know…” he insisted when the interviewer probed further.

‘Serial offender Obinim’

This isn’t the first time questions have been raised about Obinim’s pronouncements.

The eccentric preacher has often been called out for his unconventional methods.

In 2016, a viral video on social media which appeared to have been recorded from a TV broadcast, showed Daniel Obinim, beating two young members of his church repeatedly with a belt, while hurling insults at them in front of his congregation.

The disturbing video provoked widespread criticism of the controversial preacher, and he was eventually sued by the state for assaulting the children. His excuse was that the children were under his care but had engaged in an immoral act leading to the girl getting pregnant and aborting same.

Obinim in the past was also seen stomping the stomach of what looked like a pregnant woman continuously in a deliverance service.

In 2011, he was dragged before a court on charges of “vandalizing the property of an Accra-based radio station” and was criticized by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) for verbally assaulting its 1st Vice President, Rt. Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah

CR7 Available for Man Utd Return After Ban

UEFA have announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will serve a one-match ban after being shown a red card in Juventus’ Champions League clash with Valencia.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was controversially dismissed following a clash with Jeison Murillo at Mestalla, although Juve went on to triumph through penalties from Miralem Pjanic either side of half-time.

Ronaldo will sit out Juve’s match against Swiss champions Young Boys but the decision from UEFA’s Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body means the ex-United favourite will be able to make his latest return to Old Trafford on October 23.

United’s Champions League triumph in 2007-08 marked Ronaldo’s first success and he went on to win the title a further four times with Real Madrid.

He scored in both legs, including the decisive goal in Manchester, as Madrid beat United 3-2 on aggregate in the last 16 of the 2012-13 edition.

Since his €112 million (£99m/$130m) move from Madrid to Juve in July, the 33-year-old has scored three goals in seven appearances, netting twice against Sassuolo and once versus Frosinone.
